Who We Are

About Alienopolis

Independent tech coverage for people who actually care about the details.

Alienopolis started because we were tired of tech reviews that felt like they were written by committee. The same recycled spec sheets, the same stock photography, the same hedging language designed to avoid ever saying anything definitive. We wanted something different.

So we built it. Alienopolis is an independent publication focused on the tech that feels like it belongs in the future. AI tools, consumer drones, VR and AR headsets, smart home automation, wearable tech, satellite internet, and everything else that pushes the boundary of what's possible. If it looks like it belongs on a space station, we probably have an opinion about it.

How we review things

Every product or tool we review goes through actual hands-on testing. We don't rewrite press releases. We don't rely on specs alone. If we're reviewing a drone, we flew it. If we're reviewing an AI tool, we used it for real work. If we're reviewing a VR headset, we spent hours wearing the thing and can tell you exactly where it pinches.

Our roundup articles compare products across real-world criteria that matter to actual buyers: performance, build quality, software quality, value for money, and long-term reliability. We include comparison tables because sometimes you just want the numbers side by side.

Independence matters

We're transparent about how we make money. Alienopolis is supported through clearly labeled sponsored content and brand partnerships. Sponsored posts are always marked. Our editorial reviews are written independently and our partners have no say in our conclusions or ratings.

We think being upfront about this makes for better content. Readers deserve to know when someone has paid for placement, and brands deserve partners who are honest about how the relationship works.

The team

Alienopolis is run by a small team of tech journalists, engineers, and gadget obsessives. We've collectively spent decades covering consumer electronics, software, and emerging technology. We geek out about this stuff on our own time, too.
